Government-backed hackers from Russia and China exploited a known vulnerability in outdated versions of WinRAR, the world’s most popular compression tool with over 500 million users. Google’s Threat Analysis Group (TAG) said Wednesday it observed a number of government-backed hacking campaigns utilizing the WinRAR bug starting in early 2023.

Note 030 Inoreader

This morning I started using Inoreader. It is a RSS aggregator similar to Feedly. So far I like it. It gives you the ability to follow the biggest names in online publishers. It’s the next best alternative to social media I know of to use for curating articles to a blog. I have used it before, but not extensively. Since Twitter decided to suspend my verified account, I will be using it more. I may even buy the pro version of Inoreader, and who knows after that if I will ever feel that social media is necessary for content curation after all.
