Working on a wide crochet scarf.

Nothing accomplished…

Comments: I had planned another craft session for crocheting on my current watch while there’s no one around, but I got busy creating a new Twitch account to see if there was anything on there interesting to watch while I worked on my scarf. I didn’t find anything, and I ran out of time. Oh well, at least I had it on my mind to work on the scarf I guess, and at least I have the Twitch account made now. I had been wanting to do that to add another source of content curation to Pad53. I guess I’ll spend some more time tonight exploring Twitch, and maybe curate some more Tumblr blogs.

Note 128 Premier Hipster Yarn

Note 127 Time For Crafts 001

I’m kicking off another new blog series with this post called Time For Crafts. With this series, I want to document the time I take for myself to create something.

Ok it has been awhile since I got some crocheting done (around a week). So I’m going to take some time for that now. I’m working on a scarf. It’s 12:58 AM CST on Monday morning, October 23rd. I’ll update this post when my craft time is over.

Update at 3:26 AM CST. I didn’t get any work done because I fell asleep in my chair lol.

Note 089 Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo Speckle Crochet Bears

NEW YARN! Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo Speckle just hit shelves! I think it looks a lot like confetti sprinkles so I’m made a Christmas Confetti Bear with the Cherry Speckle color and I will be making a Birthday Bear with the White Speckle. And I might just need to make a whole set with all the fun colors in the Jumbo Speckle line. The blue and pink shades are absolutely adorable!

This new Red Heart Jumbo Speckle yarn is really pretty. I may have to make a few crochet wide scarfs for myself with it.

Note 083 A Simple Lace and Cable Stitch Pattern

Lilia Craft Party likes learning about, knitting up and sharing different stitch patterns, too. This one is called knitting stitch no. 19 on her blog, but to me it looks like little candle flames.

It’s made with easy eyelets for the bottom part of the flame and some traveling stitches (also known as cables, though these don’t twist together like cables normally do) that make what you could consider the outside of the flame or even like a little lantern holding the flame.
